Also included are field books of the sixth allotment of the Canajoharie Patent, 1789, and the subdivision of the Whitebeck Patent, 1798. The wills of Huybartus Dubois and Abraham Van Bechten are also included as are registers of members of the Van Orden and Van Vechten families.

Abraham Van Vechten, son of Teunis and Judijke (Ten Broeck); Van Vechten attended Kings College (now Columbia). He was admitted to New York Bar in 1785, and practiced law at Albany, N.Y. He was a member of the New York State Senate and Assembly, served as New York State Attorney General and attended the state constitutional convention in 1821.
